This piece pulls the eye around quite effectively showcasing a full story with the transformation of the bat. The change of the leaves into the bat wings are along with the ways in which the bat moves its body while it emerges are particularly visually unique and calls back effectively to how a bat wraps itself in its wings while at rest, I would love to perhaps see a few more stages in between the end and start. Very clean and sharp mark making are used in this drawing nicely clear and effective, great use of very darks contrasted well with the white background, texture and shading very convincing you can easily tell how the bats fur might feel. Effectively demonstrates the three dimensionality of the process the bat I going through, proportionally makes sense, I would usually say that maybe the background is too white, however the whiteness of the sky contrasts well with the very dark darks and changing the background too much would probably ruin the feeling of the drawing.
