The composition moves the eye around the drawing, and the drawing feels complete as there aren’t any spaces that feel empty or cluttered. The top left corner provides a space for the eye to rest. The hands in the bottom could be defined more because currently they are lost because of the sweater. The mark use adds interest to the drawing, each skull has a different style of mark making which adds interest to each of them individually, additionally the mark making on the face, sweater and palm tree are unique, which helps prevent them from being lost in the drawing. There is a complete use of tonal range which does create a sense of 3 dimensionality, however I believe that darkening the deep shadows would help increase contrast and visual interest. The drawing appears to be in proportion with the exception of the face, however the skewed facial proportions make the face appear as if it’s being seen through a fisheye lens which adds to the overall composition.
