The composition in Alysha’s Exquisite Corpse works well to bring your eye across the paper. The marks work well to create a sense of roundness on the turtle’s shell and the orange. I personally enjoy the circles around the turtle, it creates a very whimsical atmosphere. However, they are not integral to the drawing. They could be given a more bubble-like texture to appear less like filler or removed entirely. The use of distinct marks works to enhance the drawing and give each item its own presence and weight. The colours could be more luminous in some areas, such as the turtle shell or the hairbrush. The ground and the shadow of the turtle could also use more colour and marks to solidify it in the picture plain. Otherwise, I enjoy the light, whimsical feel of the drawing and think Alysha took the time to create the details of the main subject.
