Ethan really went all in with the charcoal for this one, sticking to his course resolution. The vibe is seriously captivating, with this cool diagonal setup and hands doing their thing – kind of reminds me of Philippe Halsman’s style. The charcoal action gives off major William Kentridge vibes, adding that extra flair. The tonal game is on point, with deep blacks and highlights playing nicely. The hands steal the show, doing some specific tasks that add a juicy layer to the whole thing. Just a tiny thought – maybe a tad more shading in the middle of those hands could dial up the intrigue. But overall, Ethan’s artwork is rocking a blend of influences and techniques that tell a visual story. Super cool, just a sprinkle more could take it up a notch.
