Probably one of my favourite pieces from this assignment we had to do, Carlos’ piece really brings out a sense of the donkey as if I could almost pet it. The mark making around the fur is such a creative touch and I enjoy this piece with the almost fish eye lens to bring the donkey head close up . I really enjoy the festive theme that was surrounded with it. The wreath and the small amounts of colour with the combination of the fur blend well together well. As much as the smaller piece of paper that was brought to the original critique, the bigger piece of paper would have sufficed but it almost made me look towards Carlos’ artwork more. I totally think that one of Carlos’ first pieces really showcased the integrity and passion to compare to his recent art pieces. I think that he has improved significantly from this semester. Well done Carlos 🙂
