I really liked this piece and mentioned it in class. My eyes go immediately to the center thanks to the large mushroom used as a focal point. The Fisheye lens perspective is well done, so your eyes go from the center to the vertical perspective of the piece. There is a good use of space there now. In the past the background had too much black and it was a distraction. The mushrooms were too much the focus and it felt that . Now the thin trees at the top and bottom of the piece fill in the background and put less focus on the mushrooms. Feels more organic in it’s structure, it feels well balanced. There is a wide range of tone in this piece. You get again a good balance between the lights and the darks. The white tops of the mushrooms pair well with the dark bark of the trees. I feel this is a finished piece and adding more could ruin the composition itself.
