The composition as is doesn’t work extremely well, simply due to its centre point being the cauldron with little else surrounding it and also its proportions. However, the cauldron itself followed the criteria well, especially given the difficulty of its noun, verb, and adjective theme. It is easy to tell that the cauldron is spilling down the sides of the cauldron and the details, not only in the substance within the cauldron, but also on the cauldron itself, make it look very cohesive and intentional. It was fun to take a closer viewing and see more and more details each time. Another thing I enjoy is that the artist adds personal details (such as the symbols floating above the cauldron) out of her love for her hobbies (e.g. anime, D&D, etc.) and that she does value adding flair and detail for a more interesting composition. As mentioned at the start, I do wish the composition wasn’t so centre-heavy and with contrasting proportion angles, but that is really the only main critique I had, plus maybe a little more depth in the overall drawing as well as an atmosphere for the cauldron. Overall, a very fun, but centre-heavy composition that is full of personal detail and interesting lines.
