Your piece is very playful and you’re great at guiding the eye throughout the page as the subject transforms. The way you represent the seal escaping the banana was creative and compelling and the perspective bringing the seal swimming towards the viewer makes it feel more intimate. You have great contrast in the mountains and your textures help me differentiate between each part of the piece. The only things I’d like to see is more of that inner banana peel texture and more of an implication of the seal being under water. Perhaps with even more darkness and some photos of water would help? When I see water scenes in movies there’s almost a gradient going on where the deeper you go the less light touches the water. Not that the seal needs to be crazy deep but I can totally see adding some darkness and implication of an ocean floor behind it really elevating your piece. Otherwise extremely delightful.
