Assignment 4 – Layering – Monachopsis

The background of this artwork feels a bit unsettling in a way for me personally, but I think with the overall message this artwork portrays, that fits. an unsettling feeling where you can’t quite pin “Why am I feeling this way?’ although I think personally my feelings are there because you left it feeling more blank. More, up to interpretation.

I find the ghost lettering behind the main word, Monachopsis, very well done and one of my favorite elements of this artwork. Although I do feel that with the blank space, the lettering feels a bit spacy in the sense it doesn’t quite fit with the faces and space created. but despite that fact, I really appreciate the lettering anyway it’s impressive as is!
